Driving Directions

There is a highway that connects all the towns in the state, Transpeninsular 1, and a 4-lane highway that connects La Paz with Cabo San Lucas: 19.

Flying into SJD (Los Cabos Airport), renting a car, or taking a bus are the best options to move around Baja Sur, if you are planning to move around by bus the main bus company is called AGUILA which runs services between Los Cabos, La Paz, and Todos Santos.

To properly explore Mexico’s Baja Peninsula consider renting a car for your visit. Car rental agents are available inside the airport terminal and booking in advance will save you money. Having your own car will give you more flexibility than using public transport options and, in some cases, offer you access to places which are otherwise difficult to visit without the use of a car.
